In August 2020, she opened Freckled Farmhouse Interior Design, a name the businesswoman chose because she is often admired for her youthful, freckled face.
In just a few months, dozens of customers have turned to him for help.
“Some customers have older homes that need to be refreshed and updated. Some clients have new homes. But the majority of customers find it difficult to know how to decorate themselves. They know what they want but don’t know how to execute it.
She specializes in farmhouse designs, but sometimes her clients request traditional and handcrafted designs.
Stuart said one of his most exciting jobs was designing the interior of an 1800s farm house in Abingdon. “Customers have completely gutted and restored the house, and I help them choose things like paint colors, flooring and countertops. It’s a really fun project.
His portfolio covers most of the rooms in the house, from living rooms and kitchens to bedrooms and bathrooms.
“I have a house that isn’t quite out of the 1980s. I’m redoing their kitchen and living room,” she said.
Stuart is doing a complete refresh of the Kennedy & Stuart law firm offices in Bristol, Tennessee, choosing new furniture, paintings and murals. She’s also redoing the porch of a local Washington County farmhouse.
